Tim O’Neil

Tim O’Neil

Tim O’Neil has won five production-based US and North American Rally Championships. Tim was a factory driver for Volkswagen and Mitsubishi through the late 80s and early 90s, and drove for the official Air Force Reserve team in the early 2000s. Tim earned a reputation for his driving skill early on in his career, beating many (and often all) of the Open Class teams with two-wheel-drive cars. He is also one of the very few American drivers to have competed internationally.

Through the mid-90s, Tim worked with a number of manufacturers teaching advanced driving techniques and launching new products. He also instructed over 3,000 students at driving schools in the United States, England, Scotland, and Wales. In 1997, Tim opened the Team O’Neil Rally School with the vision of building the best driving school in the world.

Tim is now partially retired, and works directly with our management to develop our curriculum and schedules, trains our instructors, and continues to oversee operations at the school, constantly refining and adapting the curriculum to stay current with the times.

Chris Rennie

Chris Rennie
Facility Manager/Lead Instructor

One of our veteran instructors, Chris has been with Team O’Neil since ’09. From leading courses here at Team O’Neil to managing our road network and trail systems, Chris has been a huge asset to the team. Chris also grooms ski trails at Cannon Mountain and has worked for many years with the White Mountain National Forest.

Tom Peplinski

Tom Peplinski

Tom spent many years in the ski industry designing and building terrain parks at Loon Mountain and Waterville Valley. He’s now one of our top instructors and has won many autoX events including a SCCNH Championship. Tom also helps to coordinate and instruct at our Drift Schools.

Jamie Philippe

Jamie joined Team O’Neil in ’17. As a former Team O’Neil student, Jamie has firsthand experience being on the receiving end of our instruction. Jamie’s background includes experience as a lift mechanic and operations supervisor at New England ski areas.

Brent Trail

Brent Trail
Instructor

Brent competes in Spartan races on the national level, and is one of the top ranked racers. In the past he competed nationally in Rally Cross in his ’91 Honda CRX. Brent has been with Team O’Neil since 2012.

Chris Komar

Chris Komar
Instructor

Chris has been with Team O’Neil since ’02 and is one of our veteran instructors. He’s also one of the top race mechanics in the US, and travels the world with Subaru Rally Team USA and Global Rallycross.

Dan Downey

Dan Downey
Instructor

Dan joined us in ’17 with an extensive background in New England grassroots rally racing. He is currently competing in ARA Regional Events around the Northeast in his 1987 BMW 325i and is a key member of our instructor team.

Alan Moody

Alan Moody
Instructor

Alan has competed successfully in many different kinds of auto racing, and has been working with Team O’Neil off and on for around eight years. Alan also helps to coordinate and instruct at our Drift Schools.

Jacob Serino

Jacob Serino

Jacob has been with Team O’Neil since 2014, and comes from a varied background including several years of professional driving for the US Ski Team as they tackled the World Cup series all across Europe. Jake is valued member of our full-time instructor team here at the Rally School, and looks forward to competing in rally events in the future.

Allen Welch

Allen Welch
Part-time Instructor

Allen comes to us after a long career in law enforcement and has been instructing professionally for many years. He’s also an expert canine trainer and plays bagpipes with NH Pipes and Drums, who recently opened for the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Max Garneau

Max Garneau
Instructor

Max joined Team O’Neil back in ’15 and has been a great asset to our team of instructors. He is an avid motocross rider and in the winter spends a lot of time skiing local area, Cannon Mountain. He used to compete in USASA Ski Cross and in 2007 won the National Amateur Championship.

Chris Cogswell

Chris recently joined the team as a former rally school student. As a veteran high school science teacher, Chris is looking forward to applying what he has learned to a new discipline. In his free time Chris enjoys road cycling and cross country skiing. He also competes in vintage road racing and hopes to participate in regional rally races in the future.

Chris has been in charge of operations and business development here at the rally school for five years. He’s been instrumental in forming partnerships, managing course operations, securing contracts, and works directly with Tim O’Neil to develop Team O’Neil into the safest, most fun, and most instructive performance driving school in the world.

Travis Hanson

Travis Hanson
Director of Operations

Travis is in charge of all courses and instructors here at the Rally School, and has been with the team since ’07. He’s been racing successfully since ’05 and is the only driver to ever win a rally Overall with a Super Production car, is a National Rally Champion, and has competed in the X-Games several times.

Wyatt Knox

Wyatt Knox
Special Projects Director

Past Rally Champion Wyatt Knox spent many years as Lead Instructor here at the school, and has competed in races all over the world. He now handles much of our marketing and media, as well as course development, instructor training, and much more.

Pam Bowman

Pam Bowman
Controller

Pam has been with the team since 2011 and handles the majority of the office-related tasks here at the school. Her first car was a Volkswagon Bug, and she loves all things chocolate.

Karl Stone

Karl Stone
Marketing Director

Karl joined Team O’Neil in 2016. His background includes promoting skiing and tourism in New Hampshire. He grew up around motorsports and has enjoyed attending rallies for 20 years.

Josh Bogardus

Fresh out of college and a local to the area, Josh recently joined Team O’Neil  with a background in digital content creation and snowsports marketing. When he’s not here at the school you can find him hitting the trails on his mountain bike, snowboarding local areas, or adventuring the open road in his camper van.

Jesse Emerson

Jesse comes from a serious technical off-roading background here in the northeast. he has been with Team O’Neil since ’11 and has worked for both Ford and GM, is ASE certified, and is an experienced metal fabricator.

Josh Dyson

Josh Dyson
Mechanic

Josh is a well rounded mechanic with a background in automotive, diesel and heavy equipment repair. In his spare time he likes to be with his family. He also has a passion for building and restoring fast cars. His dream car is a 55 Chevy with a dual quad big block.

Rob Colpitts

Rob is our resident fabricator and bodywork expert. He’s been with Team O’Neil since the beginning and is a long-time friend of Tim.

AJ Young

AJ Young
Fabricator & Bodywork

AJ joined the team back in the Spring of 2018 and brings many years of expertise. His work helps to keep the school cars presentable and in working order after some of the hard-driving they endure.

Josh Guay

Vehicle Detailer

Josh (Tummy)  has been with Team O’Neil for 2 years now and is in charge of detailing the school cars and prepping them for daily class use. Tummy spent many years working at Bretton Woods Ski Resort, is an avid golfer, loves live music and is a big Subaru fan.

Dylan Curry

Dylan Curry
Vehicle Detailer & Mechanic Apprentice

Dylan joined Team O’Neil in the Summer of 2019 and is an avid sports fan, primarily basketball. He is currently fixing up a 2013 Subaru WRX to become his daily driver.
